Sounding the Margins Picnic

On Sunday, June 2, 2002, as part of Sounding the Margins: A Retrospective of the Music of Pauline Oliveros, "The Grand Buddha Marching Band" (from Deep Listening Pieces) was performed at Dolores Park in San Francisco. There was also a free, potluck picnic.

We prepared a birthday cake and a banner. Brenda Hutchinson created a large spiral for the performance of "The Grand Buddha Marching Band." Several people had fun decorating the cake. Pauline Oliveros carefully cut some pieces from the cake.
